As Oncology Regional Area Lead, you will shape how we engage strategic oncology accounts across Switzerland. You will connect customer insights, patient pathways and portfolio priorities to build coordinated, cross-franchise account strategies that deliver meaningful outcomes.
Working at the intersection of field and headquarters teams, you will bring people together around shared account priorities, lead without direct authority and ensure our commercial activities are aligned, timely and informed by customer needs.
What you’ll do
- Lead and manage account working and strategic commercial projects in designated accounts, ensuring alignment, quality delivery, and timely execution
- Develop and own commercial account and engagement plans across franchises and functions and orchestrate their execution.
- Generate actionable account insights by analysing patient pathways, unmet needs, stakeholder dynamics, risks and growth opportunities.
- Identify and act as primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, account directors and nurses.
- Build trusted partnerships and identify opportunities for appropriate collaboration.
- Provide customers with a coordinated overview of AstraZeneca’s on-label oncology portfolio.
- Align stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment without direct authority.
- Connect field and headquarters teams by sharing insights, communications, materials and account priorities.
- Understand and champion Sales, Marketing and Commercial Operations needs, translating them into coordinated account priorities and actions.
- Use performance data and market insights to support decision-making and improve commercial effectiveness.
Essential experience and capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Proven ability to influence and deliver results in a complex matrix environment.
- Strong analytical capability, including mastery of analytical tools and the ability to translate account information into actionable insights.
- Strategic thinking and experience developing structured plans with clear priorities.
- Strong project management, planning and prioritisation skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including confident meeting facilitation.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in German, together with good English.
- Ability to work effectively through a combination of field, virtual and office-based engagement.
What will help you succeed
- A solid understanding of oncology, including cancer pathways, treatment paradigms and the Swiss healthcare environment.
- Experience in sales, marketing, market research, commercial excellence or another relevant commercial role.
- Experience in strategic business consulting.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, multi-channel orchestration, virtual-engagement tools and basic data visualisation.
- A customer-centred, collaborative and resilient approach.
- Curiosity about innovation, digital solutions and the responsible use of AI.
